At the Kids Gym we are all about FUN & FITNESS! Our goal is to build self-esteem, strength and BIG dreams in a safe, fun, clean environment, where your child ALWAYS comes FIRST!
Following the success of our Cape Town branch, we are now expanding into Johannesburg due to popular demand! We are non-competitive, non-judgmental, we focus on FUN whilst providing a comprehensive structured fitness programme for ALL children, regardless of their ability from ages 18months – 15years. We provide an active and FUN way to get fit through our specially developed curriculum using a variety of cardio exercises, games and equipment designed to teach strength, co-ordination, flexibility, core, balance and general physical fitness that will prepare children for all sports, whilst boosting self-confidence and social skills.
So whether you are a young athlete who wants to supplement and enhance their fitness training or someone who doesn’t participate in sport – you can all benefit from participating in FUN FITNESS! All sessions are age appropriate and under the supervision/instruction of our trainers, who are all qualified and have a passion for children and fitness! You don’t have to be a member to enjoy The Kids Gym, we have many packages and options from pay as you go walk in sessions to value offering packages for individual or families. The Kids Gym welcomes every child whether they have special needs or special talents.

We have EXPERT TRAINERS on hand at all times. No one works out alone – there is always an experienced trainer to teach or supervise.
Work-outs are every hour on the hour for an hour, either age-appropriate, scheduled sessions OR anytime, mixed open work-outs, all trainer supervised.
The Kids Gym has its own bespoke curriculum which is designed to enable children to achieve their age appropriate physical developmental milestones.
Janet was born in the UK and trained there in Physical Education. She represented Great Britain as a gymnastics coach at various international events for 10 years before coming to South Africa to set up a gymnastics training programme. She was also a national coach for gymnastics in South Africa for 10 years.
Glenn was a Protea gymnastics coach with over 15 years experience. He owned and operated one of the largest gym clubs in the country and produced many junior and senior national gymnasts. Inspired by his daughter Emily, Glenn wanted the benefit of exercise and skill development to be available to all children of all levels in a facility that was custom built for their individual needs.
Kelly was a provincial gymnast and coach in Gauteng. A mother of two herself, her special areas of focus are pre-school and parent / child programmes. She has a diploma in Public Relations and many years’ experience in marketing. Kelly is proud to be the Director of the NinjaZone programme in South Africa.
